Melbourne Hotels With Rooftop Pools

Greetings from the land Down Under, where the coffee is a staple of life (Seven Seeds? Greatest coffee shop this side of the sun), the street art is vibrant, and the rooftop pool game is on fire! We’re reporting from Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria and a cultural hub like no other. Prepare to be swept away while exploring the lively streets of Melbourne and iconic landmarks like the Eureka Tower, Flinders Street Station, and modern Federation Square.

From the hipster hideouts of Fitzroy to the beachy bliss of St Kilda, Melbourne’s neighborhoods are like a mixtape of awesomeness. And when it comes to finding the perfect spot to chillax and catch some rays, rooftop pools are the place to be. So grab your swimsuit and your sense of adventure because we’re about to explore the best Melbourne hotels with rooftop pools that’ll have you saying g’day to paradise!

EXTRAORDINARY PICK

Rooftop Pool in Melbourne

Our first pick, the Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands, with its jaw-dropping infinity rooftop pool, left us speechless. We could spend hours lounging in those in-water sunbeds and contemplating the meaning of life, the universe, and whether vegemite really does belong on toast. This sleek urban oasis serves stunning views of Port Phillip Bay, the iconic Bolte Bridge, and the vibrant cityscape of Docklands.

The pool is a masterpiece of modern design. Not only is it an infinity pool, but it’s also curved to perfection, mirroring the contours of the building itself. And let’s talk about those in-water loungers because nothing says luxury like kicking back on a lounger while you soak up the sun. Against the backdrop of cool, dark tones that define the whole area, these loungers are like little islands of relaxation in a sea of sophistication.

QUIRKY PICK

Fancy pants rooftop pools in Melbs

The next rooftop oasis we went to is the one belonging to Rydges Hotel Melbourne, where the vibes are retro-chic with a modern twist, and we’re loving it. Here, you’ll step into a world where beige is the new black, and green plants are the trendiest accessories around. It’s stylish, aesthetically pleasing, and cozy at the same time. Picture yourself lounging under beige parasols, sipping on a cocktail, and feeling like you’re in a scene from a 70s poolside party.

As the sun dips below the horizon, the rooftop pool on the 23rd floor of Rydges Hotel Melbourne transforms into a hip haven of nocturnal vibes. Cue the string lights – casting a cozy glow that’s straight out of a Pinterest board (don’t forget to snap a pic). And those surrounding skyscrapers? They come alive with a dazzling display of twinkling lights, turning the night sky into a spectacle worth staying up for.

THE FUN PICK

Rooftop pool with the view of Melbourne

Voco Melbourne Central Hotel won us over with its narrow, elongated pool that’s more catwalk than swim lane, leading you straight to a breathtaking view of Melbourne’s towering skyscrapers. A lush vertical garden gives this area a dash of an urban jungle, all completed with a simple yet chic area for sitting, sipping cocktails, and soaking up those views.

And while we don’t recommend throwing any boomerangs from this Melbourne rooftop pool (safety first, folks!), we do suggest striking a pose and snapping a pic to capture this one-of-a-kind experience. Nestled in the beating heart of the city, Voco is the perfect pit stop for cooling off after a day of retail therapy and sightseeing.

JIM and Hels’ view

The real MVP here – Melbourne itself, surprised us with its hidden gems high above the city streets. From rooftop pools that make you hop with excitement to views that’ll have you coming back like a boomerang, Melbourne knows how to make a splash. The rooftop pool that truly stole the show and snagged the title is none other than the one at Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands. However, we can’t forget to give a nod to a couple of other contenders that didn’t quite make the cut this time around: AC Hotel Marriott Melbourne Southbank and Grand Chancellor. We’ll be back soon.
